Summary
Arkansas Summer Meals Programs want to feed kids SUMMER MEALS AT NO CHARGE. Any kids under 18 years of age or younger are welcome to come for meals (Breakfast and/or Lunch) and see to or make new friends! Funding is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and local funds. The Summer Feeding Sites will be listed with locations, dates and times of serving. This information will be updated and kept current. New sites, dates and times will be added or deleted as needed. Please check back because this data may change at any time.

FAQs
1. how can I qualify for summer meals for my kids?
No Need to qualify kids and NO PAPER WORK to fill out unless the individual meal site has a registration program tied to activities.
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Meals Programs do not require a qualification by individuals or household. The site is qualified and kids only need to come to the site an abide by the site rules.
2. Can my grandchildren who are visiting from another town enjoy these summer meals?
Yes, all children are welcome at any site regardless of where they attend school during the normal school year.
3. Who pays for these summer meals for the kids?
Parents/Caregivers do not pay for Summer Meals. These meals are paid for by the sponsor or district based from federal and local money.
4. Will there be transportation provided for children to the site?
Adults will need to call the site contact person to see if transportation is available at that site for children.
5. Do Summer Meals have to be consumed at the site? YES
6. Do students have to be enrolled in summer school to go to a school site?
Seamless Summer School sites ans Summer Food Service Program sites listed on these websites are for all students and children 18 years or younger, and no none has to be enrolled in summer school to receive a free summer meals.
7. Are Summer Meals safe for consumption by kids?
Summer Meal sites are subject to all Arkansas Health Department standards for facilities that serve food to the public.
8. Is safe and secure environment provided for kids to eat at Summer Meal sites?
School Districts and Summer Food Service Program Sponsors are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for kids to eat their meals. Parent or caregivers can escort kids to the site and remain with the kids at the sites; however there is no provision for free meals to parents. Parents may eat with children if they PAY for their meals.
9. Will there be activities for kids?
Summer Meal programs are not required to offer activities for kids, however depending on the school setting, community recreation programs, church programs or non-profit programs such as Boys Clubs, etc., there may be activities offered. Please check with the contact person for the site where the kids may participate.
